Reverse Osmosis

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is state-of-the-art water treatment. In the 1950’s, the U.S. Government developed Reverse Osmosis for desalinating seawater. Reverse Osmosis is the most efficient and effective way to filter water.

The heart of a Reverse Osmosis system is the membrane. This high-tech membrane is capable of filtering 0.0001 micron particles from your water. By the time water has run through our Reverse Osmosis system, it’s virtually free from all contaminates.

Benefits

The benefits of Reverse Osmosis filtered water are many.

  • Removes harmful contaminates from your water.
  • >Provides unlimited, ultra pure water in your home.
  • >Produces the best tasting water obtainable.
  • When water this pure is used in cooking, it allows the true flavor of foods and beverages to come through.
  • Water costs as low as 5 cents per day*, no matter how much water you consume. (Compare this to the cost of a single bottle of water from the store!)

(* Initial cost, broken out for the first year after purchasing the system, would be around $2.46 per day. After the first year that cost would drop to 5 cents per day.)

Why Reverse Osmosis?

The top two bottled water producers in the nation use Reverse Osmosis to filter the water they sell. You can have this same pure water in your home for drinking, cooking and ice making through Reverse Osmosis technology.

If you and your family routinely purchase bottled water, then you know how expensive it is. A Reverse Osmosis system will save you hundreds of dollars per year.

A high quality Reverse Osmosis system will remove 99%* of most all contaminates. Highly toxic contaminates such as mercury, lead, arsenic, asbestos, cyanide, radon and uranium are all removed. *(By law, no one is allowed to claim 100% removal of any substance.)

Consider the following from a article in U.S. News and World Report.

“A few U.S. water systems are trying disinfectants used in Europe: ozone, ultraviolet light, and perhaps the best purifier...reverse-osmosis membrane technology. “It removes just about everything,” says Olson, “so you don’t have this contaminant-of-the-month approach.””

A Reverse Osmosis system will leave your water crystal clear and clean. You and your family can have totally safe drinking water along with the peace of mind that a Reverse Osmosis system will bring.

A 5 stage filtration system

Not all Reverse Osmosis systems are created equal. The system we sell implements five stages of filtration. Many systems have two or three stages.

First stage

Removes particulate matter and rust.

Second stage

Removes chlorine, odors, cloudiness and colors

Third stage

Removes chlorine and odors the previous stage might have missed (likely if your water has high levels of chlorine), extends the life of the membrane.

Fourth stage

The RO membrane - .0001 micron, high rejection membrane removes virtually everything from your water leaving you with the cleanest, clearest water possible.

At this point the water is passed into a storage tank to be held there until it is needed.

Fifth stage

Removes any odors or tastes that might come from the storage tank.

The diagram below shows how the water moves through each stage, numbered 1 through 5, before reaching the dispensing faucet.

Why purchase our Reverse Osmosis system?

Simply put, we sell the best residential use Reverse Osmosis system in the industry. Benefits of our RO units include...

  • Manufacturer with more than 15 years experience in the industry
  • Designed and built in the United States
  • The most durable unit on the market
  • FDA certified materials and parts
  • Highest capacity (up to 4 times) of any in-home unit for filtering per hour
  • Automatic shut-off. (Many other systems do not shut off and simply keep filtering water while dumping it down the drain. This greatly reduces the membrane and cartridge life).
  • Cartridges and membranes last twice as long as most other units.
